[김천=황악신문] 김서업 기자=김천시문화예술회관은 오는 16일부터 다음 달 14일까지 「우리는 모두 서로의 운명이다 – 멸종위기동물, 예술로 HUG」라는 주제로 특별한 전시를 마련했다.
이번 전시는 인간과 자연이 공존하는 생태계를 예술을 통해 탐구하며, 환경보호와 생태계의 중요성을 일깨우는 데 초점을 맞추고 있다.
전시에는 디지털 회화, 미디어아트, 조각, 사진 등 다양한 예술 형식을 통해 네 명의 현대 작가들이 참여한다. 이들은 각각의 독특한 방식으로 자연과 동물을 주제로 한 작품을 선보이며, 생태계의 소중함과 인간과의 조화로운 공존을 재해석하고 있다.
고상우는 야생동물을 디지털 회화로 생생하게 재현해내고, 김창겸은 전통 문양과 동물을 결합한 3D 애니메이션으로 새로운 시각적 경험을 제공한다.
금중기는 조각을 통해 동물과 인간 사이의 공생 관계를 탐구하며, 플로라 보르시는 동물의 눈을 통해 인간 세계를 바라보는 사진 작업을 통해 관객에게 깊은 인상을 남긴다.

전시의 하이라이트는 고상우 작가의 '다시 뛰는 심장, KM-53'이다. 이 작품은 멸종위기에 처한 반달가슴곰 '오삼이'의 삶과 죽음을 모티브로 하여 제작되었으며, 이 곰의 생명과 역동성을 예술적으로 표현하고자 했다.
작품은 멸종위기종에 대한 인식을 증진시키고, 생명의 존엄성을 예술을 통해 표현하는 데 기여하고 있다.
전시회는 또한 관람객들에게 다양한 부대 행사를 제공한다.
고상우 작가의 작업 방식을 체험할 수 있는 드로잉 워크숍, 작가와의 대화 시간, SNS를 통한 전시 후기 공유 이벤트 등이 준비되어 있어 예술과 환경에 대한 더 깊은 이해와 참여를 유도한다.
관람은 무료이며, 특정 행사에 대해서는 사전 등록을 통해 참여할 수 있다.

김충섭 김천시장은 이번 전시가 기존의 전시 형식을 넘어서며, 생태 보호의 중요성과 멸종위기동물과의 공존을 사회적으로 널리 알리는 계기가 될 것으로 기대하고 있다.
그는 "이번 전시를 통해 멸종위기동물의 보호뿐만 아니라 환경에 대한 새로운 시각을 제공하고, 지역 사회에서도 이러한 가치를 인식하는데 기여할 수 있기를 희망한다"고 밝혔다.

Endangered Animals Meet Art in Gimcheon
[Gimcheon=Hwangak Newspaper] Reporter Kim Seo-up—Gimcheon City Culture and Arts Center is set to host a special exhibition from the 16th of this month to the 14th of next month, titled "We Are All Each Other’s Destinies – Endangered Animals, Embraced by Art."
The exhibition focuses on exploring the coexistence of humans and nature through art, emphasizing the importance of environmental protection and ecosystem conservation.
The exhibition features four contemporary artists who employ various artistic forms such as digital painting, media art, sculpture, and photography. Each artist presents their unique interpretation of nature and animals, redefining the preciousness of ecosystems and the harmonious coexistence with humans.
Goo vividly reproduces wildlife in digital paintings, while Kim Chang-gyeom offers a new visual experience through 3D animations combining traditional patterns with animal forms.
Geum Jung-ki explores the symbiotic relationship between animals and humans through sculpture, and Flora Borsi leaves a profound impression on the audience with her photography that views the human world through the eyes of animals.
A highlight of the exhibition is Ko Sang-woo's artwork "Beating Heart, KM-53." This piece was inspired by the life and death of an endangered moon bear named "Osami." The artwork artistically expresses the vitality and dynamism of this bear, contributing to the awareness of endangered species and the dignity of life through art.
Additionally, the exhibition offers various side events to the visitors. These include a drawing workshop modeled after Ko Sang-woo’s artistic process, an opportunity to converse with the artists, and an event for sharing reviews of the exhibition on social media, all aimed at deepening understanding and participation in art and environmental issues.
